In 2016 Eve Jarrett (Our CEO and Founder), then a solicitor working in-house in London and living in Bedford spots a gap in the market.
This gap is the lack of specialist, good quality, affordable legal advice for start-ups, entrepreneurs and SMEs in Bedford.
Many large law firms claim to service SMEs and to charge affordable fees but, SMEs are usually pushed to the bottom of the pile and charged excessive fees at high hourly rates. Following extensive market research, Pure Business Law was incorporated on 1 October 2016.
Today, Pure Business Law is a business and commercial law firm delivering business, technology & e-commerce legal services to SMEs, Start-ups, Entrepreneurs and established companies across the UK. The two things that make us special are (1) our expertise and skills as specialist business and commercial lawyers in a niche business law firm and (2) our fixed fees legal services offering.
As a fresh new practice, we are becoming recognised for our different approach and are attracting commercial clients. We have just been awarded the Best Boutique Commercial Law Firm for the East of England 2020.
Looking to the future: 2020 is proving to be a good year with a strong client flow.
Our original business vision remains. Of course, it is not all plain sailing but that is the reality for those taking the risk to brave the business world. We are looking forward to meeting the challenges of the rapidly changing legal services market.
